GREX Public Statement for Media, Supporters, and Diplomats
GREX Thanks Partners for Upholding Freedom of Movement and Dialogue
The Government of Rwanda in Exile (GREX) expresses its appreciation to the governments and people of Canada and the United States for their commitment to the principles of freedom, democracy, and dialogue.
During recent travel arrangements for the GREX Convention in Ottawa Canada, temporary administrative challenges were encountered. These were promptly and professionally resolved with the support of our international partners, allowing the GREX President to attend and address the event as planned.
GREX views this episode as a reminder that:
➢ Political dialogue must never be silenced.
➢ Peaceful advocacy for justice and democratic reform should be protected, not punished.
➢ International cooperation remains the best guarantee for peace and stability in our region.
We reaffirm GREX’s dedication to:
➢ Peaceful change, based on dialogue and inclusion.
➢ Respect for human rights and the rule of law.
➢ Responsible governance grounded in integrity, accountability, and national reconciliation.
➢ GREX will continue to engage constructively with all partners, at home and abroad, to advance the cause of justice, unity, and sustainable peace for all Rwandans.
